Today’s heroes are the members of the Support and Implementation Staffs. I recently received an email from Mary Elf the other day, and thought this might be appropriate as one of our daily holiday supply chain updates.

Dear Ms. Sewell,

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your staff’s time and patience. I received an email from Santa on Friday saying that he was interested in my dolls, and was considering me as a trading partner. You can imagine my alarm considering he sent this to me 11 days before Christmas! I was in a panic.

I rushed to the phone, called your support staff, and told them I needed to be implemented so I could pass EDI documents to the North Pole. I knew a little about EDI, but not a whole lot, and knew that I needed to get connected A.S.A.P. so that I could start taking orders from the North Pole and deliver our goods to all of Santa’s distribution centers.

The Support staff was very knowledgeable and patient, and my service request was quickly (could it be magically?) turned into a service order. Not only that, I could then track the document process via the new customer portal! I received a call from an implementation technician and the next thing I knew, the two teams were merrily working together. Soon I was connected to Santa, and passing documents. I also uploaded our products into Inovis data synchronization catalogue for continued collaboration. Santa has placed orders for a lot of our dolls (yay!), and the dolls are safely on their way to the North Pole!

-Kind Regards,
