I’ve had the opportunity to spend the last 8 days of travel working with industry leaders who are helping improve the way businesses manage logistics processes and address the growing global requirements for their existing B2B implementations. The Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions (VICS) and ASCx12 are actively kicking off the year with a focused agenda and dedicated volunteers are working to drive improvements. Key projects exist in most every national and international standards groups and these initiatives will help improve global business communities. So what is going on that will help change and drive improvements in operations and B2B automation globally?

Is it green, brown, or nothing but dirt? So, as a follow up to my earlier post “In a VAN down by the river…” I wanted to pose the question to the most important people to service providers—the customers—and get feedback on your implementation experiences with other service providers. I’m curious what the implementation experience is like with other community management providers including VAN, Catalogue, Actionable Intelligence, Webforms Solutions, and Vendor On-Boarding Services. In order to have the healthiest, greenest, fullest lawn possible, you have to nurture it, pull the weeds (which is my least favorite part), add plenty of water and sunlight, and add loads of Miracle Gro. There’s also the option of all those other products that make things flourish for people without green thumbs, much like myself.
