According to a new post on GreenerComputing, a recent survey reveals that green IT is becoming a much higher priority. The survey, 2008 Trends to Watch: Green IT, was given out by London market analyst Datamonitor and surveyed 245 CIOs and IT managers.
When asked about environmentally friendly computing, 75 percent of firms responded that it was an important part of their business, and 15 percent said it’s their top priority. Of the companies surveyed, one out of five companies reported already adopting greener methods, and 1/3 have plans to implement greener techniques in the future.
