I’m answering the question of the week – what’s the coolest new feature you want in Inovis? Well, this is not very cool, but I’d like to be able to navigate into the different areas recursively – ie: when I’m in transaction centre, then go to Trading Partners, I want to get back into TC without having to backout all the way out again.
How about a function key or right click option to go right to the selected document on Inovisworks? A sign-in would have to be done, if not already signed-in, but then the specific document would be displayed.
Jennifer makes a very valid request – that’s something I’ve dealt with for years in TLi.
Another few thoughts are in My head…
When in the TC – it would be nice to be able to see more than just 8 documents. There seems to be a lot of “wasted space” on the transaction center screen – with header and footer and side “margins” that are really wide.
On the subject of the TC – allow use to use scroll bars or the mouse wheel to scroll through the entries – rather than the page up/page down keys or pressing those damnable little arrows.
Another annoyance I noticed – but again, learned to live with – has to do with setting up a trading partner relationship and the field size/lenghts. When I’m setting up an outbound document, the “network” and some other fields automatically “jump” to the next field when filled. But when setting up an inbound document, I have to tab to the next fields in some cases. A bit – odd – in that whomever created one input screen didn’t create the other – or didn’t use the same spacing for the field length.
There are (I’m sure) a lot of minor and inconsequential improvements or changes that could be made to TLi and/or to the InovisWorks portal or the Catalog portal or to …. well, you get the point.

The coolest new feature I’d like to see is increased reporting capabilities. We are interfacing with SAP. We are repeatedly asked by our auditors and co-workers to verify that everything we received in Trustedlink was successfully processed in SAP and and vice versa, everything that was sent out of SAP sent successfully from Inovis. More specifically reports based on User link fields such as all invoice numbers or po numbers received or sent for a certain time frame. Everything I have now is manual and very time consuming.
