Many of you have probably joined one or more of the social media/networking sites available – Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, LinkedIn, Last.fm, Digg, Reddit, Yelp, and so on. There are a multitude of ways to reach out to friends, stay in contact with business associates and keep up with news. Blogs, like this one, are also examples of social media. We are building a good community here. Just read this recent post and the comments some of the readers have posted. This is a great way for folks here at Inovis to communicate with end users of not only our products but other products, as anyone can post a comment.

In addition to the Inovis blog, we recently launched the new Community section of our Customer Portal. This section contains a Feature Forum for dialogue between Product Management and customers, a wiki site for users to post content, a Customer FAQ where customers can post questions and answer another customer’s questions, user communities for solution specific areas and more. You can visit the site, if you are an Inovis customer, by logging on to the Customer Portal with your username and password.

Which brings me to my point in this rambling post. There is a new facebook group out there for B2B and EDI Software Users and Professionals. This group was recently started by a veteran of the EDI world, Jon Gatrell, VP of Product Marketing for Inovis. The group features current and former Inovis employees, a Gartner analyst and more. The group is listed as “a group for sharing industry information, developing access to others in the industry and providing career information for EDI, B2B and Secure Communications professionals in Information Technologies.” If you are a member of facebook, pop on over to the group and join us!
