I was out and about exploring Supply Chain Management Review’s website again and came across a post about a fee e-book that explores performance-based outsourcing. The book is written by Kate Vitasek and Mike Ledyard and is in affiliation with the University of Tennessee. It is entitled, “Performance-Based Outsourcing: the Next Wave of Outsourcing.” The idea is to buy results instead of activities, and this guide provides a 7 step process for implementing a performance-based outsourcing agreement.
