Over on the Inovis UK blog, Tracey reports that she received an email yesterday from iNEWSWIRE announcing an extension of the withdrawal date of OS/400 V5R4 to January 7, 2011. The full EMEA announcement letter provides the details.
Even more good news is that TLi (a.k.a. TrustedLink i) is compatible with V5R and the current versions of TLi (v6.1.4, v6.2.0, v6.2.1 and v6.3.0) are all QA-ed on this OS/400 version.

Todd Russell Hill was a beloved and well thought of employee at QRS who excelled in his position as an account executive. On September 11, 2001, Todd lost his life on the 17th floor of the World Trade Center.
Since then, his spirit has been honored by an award established under QRS to recognize outstanding individuals who truly exhibit every aspect of the company’s core values: integrity, quality, accountability, communication and people.
Yesterday, Uma Maheswaran Sethuraman, known by co-workers as Mahesh, was given this prestigious award in acknowledgment of his phenomenal work. Mahesh was integrally involved in the Dell migration and has been described as possessing a dynamite attitude, always willing to jump in and roll up his sleeves, and having fantastic ideas and solutions. David Swanlaw, the leader of the special teams for the Dell migration, considered Mahesh his right hand man.
