Terms of Service

The main objective of the Inovis blog is to create an open forum to discuss the logistics involved in bringing trading communities together through more efficient supply chain communication. By participating on the Inovis blog, you agree to adhere to the following guidelines:

Member Qualifications

  • The Inovis blog is designed for individuals 21 years of age or older who can claim some area of involvement and/or expertise in the world of Business Community Management and supply chain management, including but not limited to data synchronization, Master Data Management, Managed File Transfer, Value-Added Networks, data translation and anything EDI.
  • As a Member of the Inovis blog, you agree to follow these community guidelines, and you are responsible for all activities and content you post.

Respect why we’re here

The Inovis blog is intended to be a community where people can ask questions and share knowledge. Content that does not fulfill this purpose or those mentioned below is not allowed and may be removed. Use of the site’s features and functionality for other purposes is strictly prohibited.

  • Postings must be an honest attempt to provide value to the community. For example, spamming the site with identical postings provides no value to the community and will be removed.
  • Due to practical considerations, the Inovis blog is currently an English-only site. Content that is not understandable by English language speakers will be removed.
  • No selling! We’re here to learn. Questions, answers and comments may not be posted for commercial advertising or marketing purposes, but for informative purposes only.
  • Tags should reflect the content of the question. Questions that appear to have been intentionally mistagged may either be corrected or removed.
  • Do not post content that could interfere with the operation of the Inovis blog in any way.

Respect your fellow bloggers

The Inovis blog is a public community. Treat other community members with the same respect as if you were speaking with them in person. Do not post any content that:

  • Is intended to threaten, harass, intimidate, incite or degrade an individual or group of individuals for any reason.
  • Contains profanity, vulgarity, hatred, bigotry, racism, sexually explicit content or gratuitous violence.
  • Invades anyone’s privacy by attempting to collect personally identifiable information without their prior consent.
  • Provides links to external sites that violate these community guidelines.

Communicate clearly

  • Avoid using shorthand or jargon that others users may not know.
  • Avoid the use of all capital letters, which may be perceived as shouting.

Be yourself

  • Do not impersonate another individual.
  • Do not setup multiple accounts to create “validation” for a particular point of view. Always post from a single user name.
  • Do not share your user profile with another individual or individuals.
  • Do not misrepresent the source of anything you post.
  • Do not misrepresent your age if you are under the age of 18.

Respect the law

Do not post content that:

  • Is illegal or that promotes the violation of any applicable laws.
  • Violates the rights of any third party, including copyrights or other intellectual property rights.
  • Could harm or disrupt another user’s computer or would allow others to illegally access software or bypass security on websites, or servers, including but not limited to spamming.

Rights and Responsibilities

This is your community and we ask that you help us make it enjoyable for all members. We encourage our members not to share information that others could use against you. Inovis is not responsible for the content or activities in any user-created content. The decision to view or engage all content is yours and we advise you to use your best judgment. You are responsible for anything you say or post and for protecting your own computer system.

While Inovis does not own the content on its blog, when you post you grant Inovis the right to reuse the content in any way. Other users may also copy, modify or distribute the content you post. Inovis is not obligated to send users a warning before deleting any content. Inovis is not responsible for loss of, access to or deletion of any materials posted on the Inovis blog. Inovis reserves the right to amend or change these Terms of Service at any time without notice, and encourages you to periodically review these guidelines to ensure you are in compliance.

Violations

You agree not to upload, post, transmit, transfer, disseminate, distribute or facilitate the distribution of any content, including text, images, sound, data, information or software, that violates these Terms of Service. Violations of these Terms of Service may result in the termination of access to the Inovis blog or deletion of content without notice. If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it for review. The Report Abuse button should only be used for violations of this code of conduct. For content that does not violate these guidelines, you may use the Comments field to state your opinion.

Termination and Cancellation

Inovis reserves the right to review and remove user-created services and content at will and without notice, and delete messages or ban participants that are deemed objectionable.
